      (obv) = obviative, the "further" (out-of-focus) third person; Cheyenne obviative can be either singular or plural, for instance, Évóomóho means either 'He saw him (obv)' or 'He saw them (obv).'

      Direct

      Évóomóho. He saw him (obv).
      Évóomovo. They saw Éméhoto. He loves him (obv). (younger speakers: Éméhótóho)
      Éhetóho. He told him (obv).
      Móxhetȯhevóhe. He must have told him that.

      Inverse

      Évóomāā'e. He (obv) saw him.
      Évóomaevóho. He (obv) saw them.
      Éméhotāā'e. He (obv) loves him.
      Móxhetaehevóhe. He (obv) must have told him that.
